MID-ATLANTC WATERPROOFING RECEIVES BBB TORCH AWARD
Baltimore, MD - September 30, 2009 –- Better Business Bureau recently honored Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing of Maryland, Inc., a Howard County business in operation since 1965, with a 2009 BBB Greater Maryland Torch Award for Marketplace Excellence. The Torch Award pays tribute to businesses that exhibit extraordinarily high standards of honesty and integrity toward customers, employees, shareholders and their community.
“Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing has served over 10,000 customers and stands behind its promises and its work,” said Angie Barnett, president & CEO, BBB | Greater Maryland. “At a time when trust is so fragile, the Torch Awards pays homage to a handful of Greater Maryland businesses that have not just talked the talk, but walked the walk on tough business decisions. Those are just the decisions that earn them the respect of their employees, vendors and customers,” added Barnett.
“Winning this award is a real honor for our organization,” said Edwin Fennell, Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing's Principal. “We always strive to provide the greatest level of customer satisfaction.”
Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing was selected to receive the award by a panel of judges including past BBB | Greater MD Torch Award winners and other BBB Accredited Businesses. Edwin Fennell, the company’s principal, accepted the award at a reception sponsored by BBB’s Educational Foundation before a crowd of 200 Maryland business executives.
