Ellicott City, Maryland saw catastrophic flash flooding during last week's storm.

Governor Hogan issued a state of emergency in Howard County last week as flash floods ravaged towns like Ellicott City. Known for its historic atmosphere and quaint shops, Ellicott City is a hub for families and friends to spend the weekend.

The flooding claimed two victims and destroyed or significantly damaged dozens of businesses and homes. Neighbors and first responders worked together to ensure that everyone possible was taken to safety. There was even a video taken of citizens making a chain to rescue a woman from her car, as water rushed around them.

Please be safe, as water is a force of nature. Remember that when you see a little leak in your home, there is more damage coming. Head off any destruction of property or valuables. Make sure you have Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing inspect your property to ensure that your foundation is sound and your basement is dry as a bone. We offer free inspections, with no cost or obligation.
